Jujutsu Kaisen has reached an interesting turning point in the Culling game, but it looks like the latest chapter in the series is already preparing for Yuji Itadori’s next big sacrifice. The final seasons of the series have begun a transitional phase. After seeing both Team Yuji fight their first significant battle in the deadly tournament, Yuji and Megumi band together with some new allies as they prepare for the next stage of an all-out plan. But as they come close to saving Satoru Gogo, there’s already a big switch in the plan.
With the previous chapter of the series bringing together Yuji and Megumi alongside Hana Kurusu, who has the soul of a cursed angel who can help free Gojo from the prison kingdom with their power, the two discover that the only way to do that is if they are able to kill Sukuna. With Yuji’s body in Sukuna at the moment, he quickly came to the conclusion that fans expected when they found out this news, Yuji would sacrifice himself and die if it would mean helping anyone else out of this predicament.
Chapter 200 of Jujutsu Kisen He picks up right after Sukuna contacts Yuji and tells him that he is the “disgrace” Angel is talking about, and he wants to kill as a result. Upon discovering this, Megumi immediately realized that Yuji would be willing to die, and Yuji came to the same conclusion. Yuji wonders why Sukuna bothered to tell him that he was the humiliated one in the first place, thinking that this means Angel can eliminate Sukuna without giving the cursed spirit a chance to return.
Yuji thinks it’s not a problem for him because his death will not only help free Gojo, but also take care of the half of the Sukuna leftovers he has eaten in the long run so far. Megumi understands this about his friend by nature, but at the same time it is clear that he wants to try to find another solution. But it won’t be much time because Culling is about to get more intense in the upcoming chapters.
